Lauren Introduced Kabrita Goat Milk Porridge as a Gentle Alternative
Every parent’s feeding experience is as unique as their baby. While the journey may be easy for some, others may struggle. Real Parent Story is a series on our blog where we ask real parents to share their feeding stories. Whether you’re expecting or already have little one, we hope these stories can offer you insight into what worked (or didn’t work) for parents just like you.
Today, we are sharing Lauren's story introducing Kabrita's Goat Milk Porridge as a gentle cow-milk alternative.
How did you first hear of Kabrita?
I was looking for products with goat milk for my baby and I came across Kabrita in my favorite health food store in Vermont.
What product(s) has your little one tried?
The goat milk porridge. I give it to him for breakfast with berries and he loves it.
Did the ‘European quality’ influence your decision to try Kabrita’s products?
Yes, I actually typically prefer European products over US products because they tend to go through a stricter regulations process than ours here in the US. I love that the brand has transparency, no hidden ingredients and is women led and run by mothers.
Can you please share a bit about your little one’s past experience with other cereals or porridges? Is there a reason why you were interested in goat milk-based porridge?
I was interested in the goat milk porridge because my son had a bit of trouble digesting cow’s milk formulas when he was an infant and the more reading and studying I have done indicates that all babies shouldn’t be introduced to cow’s milk dairy in the form of milk or cheese until they are at least one year old. Humans have a hard time digesting cow’s milk and babies have an even harder time because their digestive system is still developing.
Can you please share a bit about your little one’s past experience with other puffs? Is there a reason why you were interested in goat milk-based snack puffs?
I haven’t tried these but I’d love to! From what I have read, puffs are not very good for kids and have a lot of hidden “crap” in them. It hadn’t dawned on me that there were puffs out there with goat milk.
How did your little one take to the introduction of Kabrita Porridges and/or Puffs?
He loved the porridge!
What did your little one think of the taste?
He liked the taste and the texture.
Did you notice any benefits for your little one associated with this new Kabrita product introduction?
He digested it well.
What is your favorite thing about Kabrita?
I like the transparency and that it’s natural ingredients.
Is there anything else you would like to add or share?
James is happy with his porridge and we’d like to try out more Kabrita! Thank you for making reliable and healthy goat milk products because they are hard to find!
